Cheese Cake-Topped Brownies

Ingredients:


1 fudge brownie mix

1 (8 oz.) creame cheese, softened

2 Tablespoons butter, or margarine, softened

1 Tablespoon cornstarch

1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

1 egg

2 teaspoons vanilla

chocolate frosting (optional)

orange peel (optional)


     Directions:     Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Prepare brownie mix as package directs.  Pour into a greased 9 by 13 inch baking dish.  In a large mixing bowl beat cream cheese, butter, and corn starch until fluffy.  Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk.  Add egg and vanilla.  Beat until smooth.  Pour cheese cake mixture evenly over brownie batter.  Bake 40=45 minutes, or until top li lightly browned.  Cool.  Spread with frosting, or sprinkle with orange peel if desired.  Cut into bars.  Store in fridge.  Makes 36-40 bars.
